James W Mohrmann

Founder and Director of Operations

Our founder and Director of Operations, James W Mohrmann, has been a licensed professional investigator for over three decades. He entered the field of investigations and background checks with a passion to prevent theft and workplace violence avoiding risk to those most vulnerable. In October 1993, James opened Mohr Information & Investigative Services, LLC, combining his employment verification and tenant background check expertise and fulfilling his mission of safe decisions being made through the most accurate and actionable information MOHR provided to their valued clients.

He oversees quality control and holds himself and his employees to a high standard of excellence, always keeping our clients first. James employs highly skilled investigators and background check specialists, managers, technology, and support staff, all of whom have a common goal to provide information that keeps our clients safe. With ever-changing local, State, and Federal laws, James stays current and compliant through continuing education, certifications, and licensing. Our success is measured by how our information helps prevent or eliminate our client’s risks. We strongly believe in relationship building and stand with our clients throughout the entire employment or renting life cycle. James believes in giving back and regularly supports and gives back to local organizations through volunteer and financial efforts.

Judy Mohrmann

Assistant Director of Operations

With nearly twenty years at Mohr Information & Investigative Services, Judy L Mohrmann brings her astute research skills and “can do” spirit to all aspects of the company. As a senior-level Real Estate Title Abstractor and Corporate Research Analyst, she ensures that all our banking, corporate, and lending institutional clients receive highly accurate and actionable reports. As Assistant Director of Operations, Judy delivers on every promise to ensure that each client receives the highest level of accuracy, communication, and superior customer service. With ever-changing local, State, and Federal laws, Judy stays current and compliant through continuing education and industry certifications. She is passionate about preventing risk exposure for our valued clients.

Anna L. Mohrmann

Licensed Private Investigator

Anna L. Mohrmann has been with Mohr Information & Investigative Services for 10 years. She has recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is a licensed investigator in Virginia and West Virginia. As an Assistant Manager, she is learning many roles within the company across all the states where we operate. Her main goal is to ensure that all work gets completed in a timely manner to keep our clients happy. She is extremely flexible with her roles, leadership, and multi-tasking, making her a great asset to our team and clients.

Josh W Copp

Director of Property & Corporate Research

With over twenty years at Mohr Information & Investigative Services, Josh W Copp brings unmatched real estate, corporate and civil litigation research skills and is dedicated to ensuring that every research project is as accurate and reliable as possible. He has researched hospitals, fortune 500 companies, along with extensive residential and commercial real estate projects. Our detailed reports can be relied upon to make safer lending, financing, or acquisition decisions. As Director of Property & Corporate Research, Josh leads all property, corporate and civil litigation projects and delivers superior customer service. He strongly believes in relationship building and helps protect our clients from risk.

Rory Bogdon

Rory Bogdon

Director of Strategic Growth

Rory Bogdon brings to Mohr Information & Investigative Services and our clients more than ten years of industry experience in research operations, account management, and vendor management. As Director of Strategic Growth, Rory’s mission is to expand Mohr’s research footprint, products, and service offerings for our customers so that they can receive the same excellent standard of work in a larger coverage area. Rory’s knowledge of court operations throughout the US and his experience supporting customers at wholesale screening companies and CRAs will allow us to provide solutions to customers with our same standard of quick turnaround times, high-quality work product, and excellent customer service. Rory is the co-chair of the PBSA Access Subcommittee, where he works closely with members throughout the country to address challenges researchers face in the field and to advocate for fair access to complete court record information. His experience and commitment to excellence bring tremendous value to our clients.

Marsha Keeling

Criminal Department Manager

With over 15 years at Mohr Information & Investigative Services, Marsha Keeling began as a criminal research analyst and has been the Criminal Department Manager since 2015. She trains and manages a large team of criminal research analysts, record process/verification specialists, and investigators. Her team researches County, State, and Federal criminal, traffic, and civil court records for employment verification and tenant background check purposes. With the ever-changing local, State, and Federal laws, Marsha stays current and compliant through continuing education and industry certifications. Marsha delivers excellent customer service through constant updates and communication with our clients.

Jessica Cooper-Robinson

Washington DC Research Manager

With over five years with Mohr Information & Investigative Services, Jessica Cooper-Robinson began as a criminal research analyst. She was recently promoted to the role of the Washington DC Research Manager. She trains and manages a team of field court research analysts and an internal records processing team. With ever-changing local, State, and Federal laws, Jessica stays current and compliant through continuing education and industry certifications. She delivers excellent customer service and ensures that every employment verification and tenant background check report is accurate, detailed, and compliant.

Brandon Ashenfelter

West Virginia Research Manager

With over four years at Mohr Information & Investigative Services, Brandon Ashenfelter brings a wealth of investigative research skills in criminal and civil cases. As West Virginia Research Manager, he manages a large team of field criminal background check analysts, record process/verification specialists, and investigators. His team researches County, State, and Federal criminal, traffic, and civil court records for employment verification and tenant background check purposes. Jeff Robertson

Director of Information Technology

Jeff Robertson is a licensed private investigator and has been the Director of Information Technology for Mohr Information & Investigative Services for nearly 20 years. Jeff’s background in the US Air Force was working with classified Electronic Warfare Systems, which led to various classified civilian contracts with the Army Research Lab, Dept of State, and Dept of Commerce. Jeff moved into the commercial sector as an IT Consultant, where he met James, the owner of Mohr Information & Investigative Services. It was quickly evident they both had similar visions/passions for protecting companies and their clients. Jeff utilizes his years of training and expertise in information systems security to keep our client’s sensitive information that they trust us with secure.

Carolyn Motsch

Director of Employees Relations

Carolyn Motsch attended Saint Petersburg College, where she studied Leadership and Management. She worked with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in Clearwater, Florida, for over 35 years. For the last 20 years, she mentored employees, established training programs, developed policies, and was responsible for procuring goods and services. She has outstanding people, leadership, and management skills and is dedicated to making a difference in employee relations at Mohr Information & Investigative Services.
